概要：The programme addresses the development of social anthropology as it has tried to describe and explain socio-cultural, political and economic change throughout the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. In doing so, it examines the theoretical, methodological and empirical underpinnings of contemporary anthropology, which are introduced through examining detailed ethnographic studies from around the world. During the programme, students develop key analytical skills as well as a thorough understanding of changing social systems and cultural identities, the relationships between power, knowledge and resistance, and the relationships between local culture, society, and processes of globalisation.
