概要：This will be attractive to students pursuing a route into MPhil and PhD research, but it also offers a varied programme for those who are undecided about future career direction. Compulsory modules include Mass Society and Modernity, Globalisation since 1945, and a 12000 word dissertation. Students will also select a number of optional modules which will vary year to year according to staff leave. The educational aims of the programme are to provide students with knowledge and understanding of European and World history in the twentieth century. The programme will also equip students with the research skills to read and assess relevant primary sources. It will provide them with the ability to carry out independent research and write up their research. By the end of the programme the students will have acquired the skills and the knowledge to progress to a PhD.
