概要：This programme examines corporate governance from a variety of perspectives. It examines the major theories concerning the nature of corporations and their place in society; the major concerns driving corporate governance law and practice and reform proposals. In addition the programme looks at theories of the firm and their implications for corporate governance and aims to evaluate the effectiveness of corporation governance norms and institutions in achieving their goals. It also considers the evidence for European and global convergence of corporate governance practices and the ways in which this might evolve. The programme puts the study of the major corporate governance issues into a comparative and global perspective.
