概要：An ideal programme for those wishing to develop skills in environmental approaches to archaeological sites in a professional or research capacity. Elements include palynology, zooarchaeology, archaebotany, paleoentemology, and geo-archaeology and Holocene landscapes and environments. In addition, MSc students undertake a supervised research project that culminates in a 12,000 word dissertation. This programme aims to provide rigorous training in environmental archaeology within a broad landscape research context. It is suitable for those who either seek specialist vocational training or wish to gain palaeoenvironmental research training that will lay the foundations for further postgraduate studies. The programme is taught by members of the Landscape and Environment Research Group, which now forms the premier research cluster in the UK, undertaking research into the cultural?environmental interface. Teaching will draw significantly on the global research experiences and interests of staff, ranging from lower Pleistocene to late Holocene environments and associated archaeology in the UK, Western Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East and North America.
