概要：This innovative taught programme is overseen by one of the UK?fs largest groupings of Historical Archaeologists. It provides scope for students to engage in close analysis of processes of social and cultural change, especially in the early modern and modern worlds, from a material perspective. It investigates contemporary theory and practice across the range of historical archaeology and engages with the range of sources (material, textual, representational and oral) available to scholars examining the archaeology of the last 500 years from a global perspective. The course aims to develop students?f ability to conduct independent research, to build awareness of the potential of interdisciplinary research, to enhance their career prospects, whether in archaeology, related or other professions, especially by equipping them with transferable skills or to equip those who desire it to advance to research degrees with the skills required.
