概要：The programme will be the Institute of Communications Studies' first masters programme to combine journalism professional practice, related legal, political and ethical studies, with a theoretical perspective firmly rooted in communications studies. It draws on the strengths of staff in the Institute, both in theoretical and professional disciplines, and will potentially be the first of its kind in a Russell Group university. It is designed to attract international students who wish to study journalism at masters level, perhaps for the first time, or existing graduates who have a background in journalism, and who wish to engage with new perspectives on their subject. Thus, while work placements are not a feature of the course, students will be encouraged to compare and contrast their own domestic journalistic experience with what they learn and experience at Leeds, and such work will be part of formal assessment.
