概要：This degree programme is intended for those in full-time employment who want to enhance their understanding of the concepts, methods and values of scientific knowledge, and of the history of the social relations of science and medicine since the 16th century. All teaching takes place between 6.00 and 9.00 p.m., mainly at Birkbeck, University of London, which specialises in the provision of education for part-time mature students. The programme is taught by a combination of seminars, lectures and tutorials conducted by scholars who are acknowledged experts in the field and who will share their latest research findings with students as part of the course. Students prepare themselves for the discussions that occur in seminars by using the extensive library facilities available in the college and in the Bloomsbury area.
