概要：With the rise of globalization, crosscultural communication now takes place in most areas of life including the employment fields of tourism, marketing and advertising, business, diplomacy, media, policy-making and co-operation between government and non-government organizations. The Master of Crosscultural Communication has been designed for those working or aspiring to work in these sectors. Students will develop the tools to analyze crosscultural communication on the basis of a sound grounding in sociolinguistics, discourse analysis and the ethnography of communication, learning to communicate creatively across cultural boundaries. The unique program allows students to tailor part of their course to suit their own interests, choosing from a spectrum of units ranging from translating to media, tourism studies and professional communication. A diverse student body and a location in the heart of Sydney's multicultural community provides ample opportunities for hands-on research.
