概要：The Heritage Development field is engaged in the UQ MoUs with the Smithsonian Institution, China Agricultural Museum, Vietnam National Department of Cultural Heritage and funded Research Projects with ICOM, UNESCO, ASEAN, Korea and Pacific Island Countries. All these partnerships require holistic approaches and integrated local area planning (key elements of an integrated systems framework) dealing with heritage: natural and cultural; tangible and intangible; movable and immovable. The Program also works closely with the four Divisions of UNESCO and through the Pacific Asia Observatory for Cultural Diversity in Human Development (UNESCO), has established major knowledge systems platforms: www.onsustianability.com ; www.onmuseums.com ; www.climatechange.com The courses are designed to give students a solid grounding on complex issues such as the obligations concerning heritage establishment by major international legal instruments, how contemporary collection policies relate to institutional goals and how to locate heritage in sustainable development in a rapidly globalising world..
