概要：The Master of Translation Studies award course caters to students wishing to pursue careers in full-time or freelance translation with national and international agencies, in subtitling, software translation and localization. Translator skills also give graduates a competitive edge in many other professions, such as law, commerce and journalism. Students will train in practical translation of general and technical documents, under the guidance of experienced, qualified professionals. They will also study a broad range of theoretical approaches to translation and be introduced to the history of translation theory in the Western tradition, in addition to professional ethics, comparative cultural studies, and advanced language skills. The third semester of coursework is dedicated to an intensive translation practicum, a project in translation, and related fieldwork.
