概要：Photonics has been recognised as a key enabling science in many important academic disciplines and industries, such as the life sciences and telecommunications, and as a research priority for the College. The Department of Physics has a long and successful research record in imaging and photonics and this 12-month MRes course builds upon this. It is expected this course will usually form the first year of an extended MRes plus PhD study programme, where it will become compulsory for students embarking on research in the photonics group, who do not already have an appropriate specialist Master?fs level qualification. The MRes course runs from October to September each year.
