概要：The breadth and rapid development of computing in all its forms prompts many recent graduates to broaden and deepen their knowledge - and practitioners looking to broaden and refresh their knowledge through studying a Masters course. The MSc Advanced Computing Science offers a flexible programme covering a broad spectrum of computing which reflects the research and specialisms of the School. The MSc Advanced Computing Science is aimed at students wishing to acquire specialist knowledge who have a first degree in computing science. Within the programme the School offers the opportunity to specialise in one of the broad areas of the School's research. Students normally take five optional units, of which at least two are related to their area of specialisation. Other units are designed to complement these and to allow students to broaden their knowledge. Students choose their dissertation topic and undertake preliminary work on it during the Spring Semester and work on it full time after the exams until mid-September.
