概要：This programme is complementary to our MSc in Osteoarchaeology (which covers both animal and human remains in archaeology) but is aimed at students who wish to specialise solely in human osteoarchaeology. The programme offers tuition in both practical and theoretical aspects of human bone analysis. Compulsory core courses include: human skeletal and dental anatomy; analytical methods in human osteology; practical osteology; skeletal pathology; bioarchaeological interpretation. Teaching is by means of lectures, seminars and regular practical laboratory-based sessions. Assessment is by coursework and a dissertation (15,000 words). Applicants should already have a good degree in archaeology, or in another related subject (e.g. anthropology). No prior knowledge of anatomy or osteology is required.
