概要：This MSc(Master)/Diploma was initiated by Professor D. Wood-Gush in collaboration with his colleagues in the many Research Institutes and University Departments around Edinburgh. It was first mounted in October 1990. The programme has a strong international reputation and has received the support of many well-known animal welfare organisations in the UK and in Europe, including the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Advocates for Animals, the British Veterinary Association Animal Welfare Foundation, the St Andrew Fund, the Universitie Federation for Animal Welfare, various other animal welfare trusts, and also the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries & Food (now Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs) and the European Social Fund.
