概要：This programme is complementary to our MSc in Human Osteoarchaeology but is aimed at students who wish to specialise in the field of forensics. The programme offers tuition both in the practical and the theoretical aspects of human bone analysis within a forensic setting. Compulsory core courses include: human skeletal and dental anatomy; analytical methods in human osteology; practical osteology; skeletal pathology; legal and evidential framework in forensic anthropology, scientific evidence in forensic anthropology and forensic taphonomy. Teaching is by means of lectures, seminars and regular practical laboratory-based sessions. Assessment is by coursework (essays and practical assignments) and a dissertation (15,000 words). Applicants should already have a good degree in archaeology, anthropology, forensic science or a related subject. No prior knowledge of anatomy or osteology is required.
