概要：The Department has around 45 PhD students at any one time, their thesis topics covering a wide range of subjects across the history and philosophy of the sciences and medicine. Once admitted to study for a PhD, doctoral students are assigned a supervisor, who is responsible for guiding their studies and to whom they are expected to submit written work at regular intervals. Students cannot be admitted unless there is a supervisor, approved by the Degree Committee, willing to supervise the PhD.
