概要：This programme enables you to explore the issues surrounding poverty and poverty reduction, and to gain or enhance your practical skills in development management. Topics addressed include: Definitions and indicators of poverty and development Causes of poverty Poverty reduction strategies Cross-cutting issues, such as gender and conflict Practical policy, programme and research skills The programme is designed for both development professionals and those seeking to enter the development sector. Students on this programme are provided with an allowance to conduct overseas dissertation fieldwork. Recently, students attending the on-campus PRDM have come from on average 15-20 countries per year (including Australia, Germany, Ghana, Indonesia, Japan, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Turkey, Uganda, UK, USA and Vietnam).
