概要：We believe that Children and Families Social Work is complex and requires dedicated and skilled practitioners who can critically reflect, analyse and make sense of information from a wide variety of sources and use it to formulate effective plans to support children and their families. We believe that these are post graduate skills and that post qualifying education should enable practitioners to develop at an appropriate level with the right amount of support to enable safe and effective practice and to be achievable while working in a busy and stressful environment. The first module is delivered at an under-graduate level to give a step up to candidates returning to study and preparing them with the skills to complete the programme. The MA has been developed to incorporate the PQ Specialist/Higher Specialist and Advanced Awards in line with GSCC requirements, but crucially has been developed alongside service users, practitioners and agencies to ensure it incorporates the knowledge skills and values that are essential for skilled practitioners.
