概要：Developed as the first course of its kind in the UK, this MSc is aimed at developing participants' understanding of the politics, principles, evidence and skills associated with public service commissioning and how these interact across organisational boundaries. Today?fs public practitioners must demonstrate clear understanding of the often complex tensions involved in contemporary public policy. They must also be able to offer confident leadership in formulating and implementing appropriate strategies to address them. For more than 40 years the Institute of Local Government Studies has been providing a range of programmes to meet these needs. Our applied research activity feeds directly into our programmes, so our participants are among the first to hear the latest research findings and to reflect on how new thinking might impact on future policy and practice. This programme is designed for senior managers and policy-makers working in or with public commissioning organisations or with an interest in developing their careers in this direction.
