概要：This two-year Master?fs course teaches the Chinese language from scratch and trains students in the study of contemporary China. This is a conversion course designed for graduates in any discipline of the humanities and social sciences who seek advanced knowledge about social, economic and cultural developments in modern and contemporary China. The Cambridge course is unique in that it not only offers students a theoretical insight into Chinese society but also provides an intensive grounding in the Chinese language as well as the opportunity to study and do field-work in China for a significant part of the course. The course consists of two main components: intensive training in the modern Chinese language from scratch and a menu of disciplinary courses focusing on the study of modern and contemporary China. No prior knowledge of the Chinese language is required (this course is not designed for students who already have a degree in Chinese Studies or an advanced proficiency in Chinese).
