概要：PhD supervision in linguistics is also available in the Department. Entrants to this program are expected to have already completed a research training programme, specifically a good MA in Linguistics or a closely related field. In exceptional circumstances, students may be accepted onto the program without an explicit research training qualification; in such cases they will be required to do supplementary tutorial work as part of the research training for their PhD qualification. Students aiming for a doctorate are normally registered as MPhil/PhD in the first instance.
